Tshering and I decided to try out some of the stains that I listed on the previous post. We mixed up some aniline blue (of the aqueous variety) and tried our luck at staining a cow (okay well steer) bone/meat/cartilage sample. Thin layers were sampled with a razor blade from the surface of a joint.
